Blues player of the game vs. Golden Knights: Colton Parayko

Unfortunately, special teams played a role in Wednesday's 6-3 loss at Enterprise Center, and Parayko was on the ice for both Vegas power-play goals, but when the game was played at even strength, the Blues' No. 1 d-man was up the challenge again.

He skated 22:44 and was a plus-2 in a game that got away from the Blues (13-11-1) in the second during a four-goal period for the Golden Knights (17-5-5), but Parayko finished with five shot attempts again, and he's looking to shoot the puck more. He also led the Blues with five blocks.

But when Vegas' top guys were on the ice, Parayko didn't get scored on and continues his trajectory in an upward swing. And he continues to join the rush offensively in timely manners, which was evident again in the game.

Jordan Binnington, despite allowing five goals, was solid again with 43 saves and was undone by the second period, but I thought Parayko was solid from start to finish.
