Could Taylor Hall end up in Buffalo? Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Blues showing interest in Sabres forward Taylor Hall?

The Buffalo Sabres are in the midst of one of their worst seasons in franchise history. Because of that, Buffalo will be selling at the trade deadline.

The Sabres already traded veteran center Eric Staal to the Montreal Canadiens, and Taylor Hall could be next. According to SportsNet's Elliotte Friedman, the St. Louis Blues are interested in the winger.

Hall signed a one-year, $8 million deal with Buffalo during the offseason after spending the 2019-20 campaign split between the New Jersey Devils and Arizona Coyotes. If he's traded again, he'll be headed to his fourth team in just two seasons.

The 29-year-old has notched 20-plus goals in six of his 11 seasons, but he's having trouble finding the back of the net this year, tallying just two goals in 33 games. Of course, this may not be all his fault, with the entire Sabres' roster struggling in all aspects of play.

The Blues have had plenty of scoring issues this season, ranking 17th in the league with 2.82 goals per game. St. Louis is fourth in the West Division with a 16-13-5 record and could use some help heading into the second half of the season.

The Blues reportedly tried to acquire Hall at last year's trade deadline, offering Robert Thomas and Jake Allen in their package for the Calgary native. It's unclear what they'll have to offer this season in order to land him.
