Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced Wednesday that the team has placed defenseman Jordan Harris on injured reserve and recalled defenseman Michael Callahan from Providence.

The 26-year-old Callahan has appeared in four games with Providence this season. Last season, the 6-foot-2, 197-pound defenseman played in 17 games with Boston, scoring one goal. He also played in 45 games with Providence last season, registering one goal and eight assists for nine points.

Harris was signed as a free agent in the offseason and has played in five games with Boston, scoring one goal and adding an assist. It was not immediately known what the injury was; however, Harris was walking with a limp after the game on Tuesday. Hampus Lindholm was not in the lineup Tuesday against Florida, and his status is unclear for Thursday against Anaheim.
