Brad Marchand Comments on Joining Fellow Pests Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk in Florida

Brad Marchand was traded to Florida in a shock deal at the deadline, and now he's opened up on playing alongside two other pests on what will be an incredible line.

The Florida Panthers had made some solid moves at the deadline, but they saved the biggest for last, landing Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand in a deal that absolutely nobody saw coming.

With Marchand, fans were salivating at the thought of No. 63 playing alongside Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and it's safe to say that the feeling is mutual.

In his first interview as a member of the Panthers, Marchand opened up on the thought of playing with those two, and when the Stanley Cup Playoffs roll around, he's clearly ready to play alongside two players that would also be considered pests in the NHL.

Those are absolutely the guys you want to go to battle with.

Unfortunately for Florida, it's going to be some time before we see them together, as both Marchand and Tkachuk are currently sidelined, but with most fans anticipating the trio to make up Florida's second line in the post-season, the anticipation is building.

The Boston Bruins were unlikely to make the post-season in 2024/25, but trading Marchand to a key rival was a decision that hasn't gone down well in Boston, especially given the hatred that those fans have for Bennett and Tkachuk in particular.

Ultimately though, this is the best landing spot possible for No. 63, and if this team can be healthy again by the time the playoffs roll around, there are very few teams that can stop their firepower, with many predicting them to go back-to-back in 2025.
