The Florida Panthers are getting nice returns from their trade deadline investment on Brad Marchand. The veteran forward has been a major reason why the Panthers are just a win away from successfully repeating as Stanley Cup champions, as he's stepped up for Florida in the 2025 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs.

In the Panthers' 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 5, Marchand added to his playoff total with two goals.

Going into Game 6 this Tuesday night at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, Marchand and the Panthers will have their eyes locked in on the prize, needing just a victory to finish the series. Those who believe in good karma can perhaps expect another big game from Marchand following his classy gesture to a neighbor recently.

From BeatinTheBookie.com’s X account : “How good of a guy is Brad Marchand? He lives across the street from a friend, the other day he had left his garage door open, my friend closed it for him and left him a ring message, he then returned the favor to him with free tickets for game 6 tomorrow night. Great guy.”

Marchand, acquired by the Panthers via a trade with the Boston Bruins in the middle of the 2024-25 NHL season, has developed a reputation for being a dirty player on ice, but such anecdotes like the one shared by BeatinTheBookie.com prove that there's more to the four-time All-Star's personality.

Marchand, who turned 36 years old in May, is leading the Panthers in the Oilers series with six goals. All of his points against Edmonton have come from goals, and he'll look to sustain his form with Florida eyeing to wrap things up in front of its home crowd and avoid playing a Game 7 in enemy territory.
