Bruins forward Taylor Hall reportedly vetoed trade to Golden Knights at deadline

Bruins winger Taylor Hall insisted in an interview with ESPN's Emily Kaplan that he didn't force his way to Boston at the NHL trade deadline last month. However, many teams were interested in the former Buffalo Sabres forward, and it certainly seems like Boston was his top destination.

During this week's episode of the "31 Thoughts" podcast, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman said that the Vegas Golden Knights had their sights set on Hall at the deadline.

"Don't forget, they went hard after Hall," Friedman said while discussing the Golden Knights' scoring problems. "He vetoed a trade there."

It's unclear why Hall did not want to play for the Golden Knights, and it's also unknown what Vegas offered Buffalo in exchange for the Calgary native.

Hall admitted in his interview with ESPN that he hopes to remain with the Bruins for a while, even though contract discussions have not yet occurred. The 29-year-old also revealed after joining the B's last month that Boston was No. 1 on his trade list and that he'd "love to be a Bruin for a few years."

Hall has been a perfect fit in Boston. He tallied eight goals and six assists in 16 regular-season games with the Bruins and has two goals and an assist through five playoff games.

If he truly wants to remain a Bruin, the two sides will likely be able to work out a deal.
