Bruins sign Fraser Minten to seven-year contract

In 2025-26, Minten scored 17 goals and added 18 assists for 35 points, the most points by a Bruins rookie in a single season since 2017-18.

The Vancouver native has 20 goals and 20 assists for 40 points in 107 career NHL regular-season games with the Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was acquired by Boston, along with a conditional first-round pick and a 2025 four-round pick, in a trade for defenseman Brandon Carlo.

Minten was selected by the Leafs in the second round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He spent four seasons playing junior hockey in the Western Hockey League, where he scored 77 goals and added 111 assists for 188 points in 187 career games. He also recorded 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 points in 43 career WHL playoff games.

Internationally, he was named captain for the 2024 Canadian World Junior Championship squad, where he recorded a goal and two assists for three points. He also represented Canada at the 2026 World Championship.
