The 24-year-old Lohrei scored five goals and 28 assists for 33 points, averaging 19:32 in ice time in 77 regular-season games with the Bruins last season. In 118 career NHL games across two NHL seasons, he has nine goals and 37 assists for 46 points.
In 2024-25, Lohrei finished second on the team in power play points (16), fourth in assists and fifth in points.
Lohrei, taken by the Bruins in the second round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, spent three seasons in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers between 2018-19 and 2020-21. The 6-foot-5 defender would spend the next two seasons playing NCAA hockey at The Ohio State University, scoring eight goals and 53 assists for 61 points in 71 career games.
Earlier in the day, the Bruins hinted through several social media posts that they would be changing their logo and jersey for the 2025-26 season.

“The logo itself isn’t a new concept. The traditional Boston ‘B’ in the middle of a spoked circle has been a staple of the franchise since 1949,” Daily Faceoff’s Tyler Kuehl wrote in a post Monday morning. The actual reveal jersey reveal won’t be made until Wednesday.
