Here's a development we didn't see coming regarding young Montreal Canadiens defenseman Logan Mailloux. According to reports from the guys at the Stanley25 podcast, Maxime Truman and Jean Trudel, Mailloux is available for a trade.
You read that right.
Kent Hughes is reportedly listening to offers for Mailloux, who was drafted by Marc Bergevin in 2021, let's not forget.
Earlier this morning, we talked about three Canadiens players who have officially been put on the trade market.
Well, just a few hours later, we now have to add Logan Mailloux to that list! Wow.
This is very interesting.
"According to information from our colleague Maxime Truman of Dans Les Coulisses, during the game Mailloux played with the Canadiens on this trip, the number of opposing team scouts present at the game had doubled, and this was no coincidence. They were there to watch him in action.
That's what he shared in the latest episode of the Stanley25 podcast."

You can watch it in the following video:
So, a trade involving Logan Mailloux seems likely, but it's important to note that this doesn't mean he will be leaving Montreal at any cost.
However, it appears he could be part of a Kirby Dach-style trade, similar to how Alexander Romanov was dealt a few years ago.
This also aligns with information previously revealed by Marco Normandin a few months ago, about a nearly finalized trade between the Canadiens and the Ducks during the 2024 Draft involving Trevor Zegras.
This will definitely be a situation to watch closely in the coming weeks and months.
Another interesting scoop from Stanley25.
