As part of a yearly tradition, the Vancouver Canucks handed out their team awards in their final regular season home game, with four of them voted on by fans.
Here are the players who Canucks fans voted on for their team awards:
CanucksArmy pick : Filip Hronek
Winner: Filip Hronek
This shouldn’t come as a shock to anybody. Hronek took his game to another level, leading the team from the backend since Quinn Hughes’ departure. Not only is he among the Canucks point leaders, he more than doubles the next best defenceman in points, while averaging one second below 25 minutes per game.
FILLLL!
An elite force on the blue line and a teammate that could be relied upon in every situation.

CanucksArmy pick: Filip Hronek
Winner: Filip Hronek
Again, was this really a surprise? Hronek has often put the team on his back and has been the only one to excel under the new systems brought in this season. He sits just two points back of the team lead in points, while also being a first-over-the-board penalty killer. And with an assist on Jake DeBrusk’s power play goal, Hronek set a new career high with 49 points.
It wasn’t a great season for the Canucks, but if they didn’t have Hronek, it could have been much worse.
❗️MVP❗️❗️MVP❗️
Hronek elevated his play throughout the entire year, and was continuously a difference maker on the ice each and every night.

CanucksArmy pick: Linus Karlsson
Winner: Drew O’Connor
It was a toss-up between O’Connor and Karlsson. O’Connor is deserving of this award for being a versatile forward who’s been featured up and down the lineup and in all three facets of the game. In what has been a down statistical season for nearly the entire Canucks roster, O’Connor found a way to set a new career high in goals with 17.
Bringing his all every night.
The Unsung Hero is the player who worked tirelessly on the ice, and inspired his teammates to do the same.

CanucksArmy pick: Liam Öhgren
Winner: Zeev Buium
Well, we were on the right track, going with one of the young players acquired from the Minnesota Wild. We just got the wrong guy.
When Buium gets his creative juices flowing with the puck on his stick, he leaves fans oohhing and aahhing. He started his Canucks career off with a bang, picking up an assist and the game-winning goal against the New Jersey Devils. But while those bursts of excitement haven’t necessarily consistently translated to the scoresheet, the high-level plays have been there.
A player we all love to watch.
Zeev Buium brought his agile skating and creativity on the back-end as he created chances for his teammates to score.

And it only seemed fitting that Buium would win this award right after displaying his skill with this deke through the neutral zone.
