The season for several LA Kings prospects is wrapping up, and one has made their way to Ontario. Carter George, an 18-year-old goalie drafted in the second round this past summer, is joining the Reign after his OHL season came to a close.
The @LAKings have reassigned goaltender Carter George to the Ontario Reign, the Kings’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

George carried the Owen Sound Attack to the final playoff spot in the OHL’s Western Conference, but bowed out in the first round at the hands of the London Knights. George finished the regular season with a 17-22-6 record with a 3.35 GAA, and a .909 save percentage. His playoff numbers weren’t spectacular, but it isn’t a reflection on him with how poorly the Attack played in front of him.
George isn’t eligible to play a full season in Ontario due to the CHL/NHL agreement rules. Since George isn’t turning 20 by December 31st of next season (he’ll be 19), it is either the OHL or NHL for him next year.
