Charlie McAvoy Suspended 6 Games

In the final minutes of Game 6 between the Buffalo Sabres and Boston Bruins, Charlie McAvoy slashed Sabres forward Zach Benson. That slash has resulted in a six-game suspension for McAvoy. Of note, these will be regular-season games; preseason games will not count.

While McAvoy serves his six-game suspension, the Boston Bruins will hope to rebound from a disappointing playoff exit. After making the playoffs again in 2025-26, the goal for the Bruins will be to make the playoffs once again. McAvoy will have to battle to keep himself in game shape as his team takes the ice without him.
