On Monday, July 6th, the Chicago Blackhawks announced their preseason schedule for the 2026-27 season. With the return of the 84-game season, the NHL has cut the preseason from six to four games.
The Minnesota Wild will be the first team Chicago faces in September. The series starts with the Blackhawks playing at the Grand Casino Arena before returning to the United Center. The matchup will likely feature Roman Kantserov going against Kirill Kaprizov in his first game donning the Blackhawks sweater.
Game two will take place at the United Center, marking Chicago’s first of two home games. Both games will take place at 7 p.m. CT and stream on CHSN, with more ways to watch announced closer to the season.
After the two games against the Minnesota Wild, St. Louis will be the next team on the docket for the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blues are sporting a new look after losing one of their premier talents, Jordan Kyrou. With the rich pipelines of both teams, the two games will feature some good hockey, and players like Connor Bedard and Frank Nazar will likely get some reps against St. Louis.
Like the Minnesota series, game one will be on the road at the Enterprise Center on the 24th before returning to the Windy City two nights later on the 26th. The first game will begin at 7 p.m. CT, while the final preseason game will take place at 6 p.m. CT.
