Dallas Stars Provide Devastating Update On The Status Of Jason Robertson

The Dallas Stars lost Jason Robertson in Game 82 of the regular season, and now it appears his return isn't going to come in Colorado.

After two games played in Dallas, the Stars and their division rival Colorado Avalanche are locked in for what could be an incredible first-round matchup in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

After an overtime victory on Monday, the Stars have tied the series up at one as the series shifts to Colorado, but on Tuesday, the team confirmed some bad news on superstar forward Jason Robertson.

As announced by Head Coach Peter DeBoer, Robertson will not travel to Denver for games three and four of the series, and while there is optimism he could return when the series moves back to Dallas, they could find themselves in a 3-1 hole before that happens.

That announcement brought the positive news that Miro Heiskanen is travelling with the team, so at least some good came out of Tuesday's presser, but for now, all eyes remain on the superstar forward.

Even with a slow start to the year, Robertson put up another great campaign in 2024/25, tallying 35 goals and 80 points in 82 games played, but at the final hurdle before the playoffs, he went down with a devastating injury.

It's not expected to be long-term, but with an incredibly tough matchup in round one, the team may not find themselves in the post-season for long, so now, Stars fans will simply be hoping they can get back to Dallas with the series tied at 2-2 or potentially with a 3-1 lead themselves, and if they do, the return of Robertson may be the boost they need to get out of the first round.
