The Jets will be heading to Dallas for tonight's crucial Game 6, and the Stars took to social media to troll Winnipeg and their fans before puck drop.

The Dallas Stars wanted to complete their Stanley Cup playoff series with the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night, but it was not meant to be. Dallas was shut out 4-0, not able to generate any offense in Game 5 after a myriad of scoring chances.

It was a tough loss, especially after all that momentum they had built up in the series to that point. The Stars will now, however, get a chance to clinch the series on home ice and punch their ticket to the Western Conference Final.

Following the disappointing loss and prior to tonight's crucial Game 6, the Stars took to social media with a tongue-in-cheek reaction.

'Saturday in Dallas?' the post read. 'We prefer playing in front of our fans anyway!'

Entering the series, a tight battle was expected between two rugged Central Division clubs. And for the majority of the series, Dallas had the upper hand.

The Stars took Games 1 (3-2), 3 (5-2), and 4 (3-1). But both of their losses, including Thursday's, have been shutouts, which is a concern in terms of offensive consistency.

To finish off Winnipeg, the Stars need to somehow break through on offense. As deep and talented as they are, there's no way they should be experiencing scoring droughts like this.

Connor Hellebuyck issued a warning to the Stars

Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck, who was unstoppable in Game 5, spoke to the media and suggested his team has more to give, which was a warning to Dallas.

'They're going to have a big pushback the next game, so we've got to make sure our details are right and we bring it,' Hellebuyck said. 'Our backs are against the wall and it's time to play Jet hockey.'

It is never easy to finish off a playoff series, but getting to do so in front of their own fans could give the Stars an edge. Game 6 will be played on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT.
