Detroit Red Wings goalie prospect Rudy Guimond is joining the Harvard University Crimson this upcoming season. The 6’4” 187 lbs goalie appeared in 50 games with the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL. He went 40-7-3 with a 2.27 goals-against average, a .922 save percentage, and three shutouts. He led the league in goals-against average and save percentage. In the playoffs, the 21-year-old goalie went 14-5-2 with a 2.42 goals-against average, a .910 save percentage, and a shutout.

The Red Wings drafted him in the sixth round with the 169th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. In 2023-24, he played in 32 games with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the USHL. He went 13-13-3 with a 3.66 goals-against average and an .869 save percentage. In his second year in the USHL, he appeared in six games, going 1-5-0 with a 2.88 goals-against average, a .887 save percentage, and a shutout. That same season, he joined the QMJHL, playing in 16 games for Moncton. Guimond went 16-0-0 with a 1.73 goals-against average, a .940 save percentage, and three shutouts. In nine playoff games, he went 8-1-0 with a 2.25 goals-against average, a .916 save percentage, and a shutout.
