Detroit Red Wings Set 23-Man Roster

The Detroit Red Wings will drop the puck on the 2025-26 season on Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens. This season will be the Red Wings’ 100th season. Today, they set their roster as they assigned defenseman Justin Holl to the Grand Rapids Griffins. The roster has 13 forwards, eight defenseman, and two goalies. Three of their top prospects made the team out of camp, as Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Emmitt Finnie, and Axel Sandin-Pellikka are on the Opening Night roster. Nate Danielson and Shai Buium are on the injured non-roster, and forward James van Riemsdyk is on the non-roster.
