Detroit Red Wings Set 23-Man Roster

The Detroit Red Wings begin their season Friday night against the New York Rangers. Today, they set their roster to start the season. To get their roster down to 23, they assigned goalie Carter Gylander to their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Red Wings also placed defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker on injured reserve retroactive to September 24th. The Red Wings also designated their recent waiver claim defenseman Andreas Englund as an immigration non-roster. Forwards Carter Bear and Chase Stillman were placed on injured non-roster.
