Detroit Red Wings Sign Viktor Arvidsson

The Detroit Red Wings are signing forward Viktor Arvidsson to a two-year deal with a $5 million AAV. Arvidsson spent last season with the Bruins, playing in 69 games. He had 54 points on 25 goals and 29 assists. He was a +20 with four power-play goals and six game-winning goals.

The Predators drafted him 112th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He spent seven seasons with the Predators, playing in 385 games and recording 239 points on 127 goals and 112 assists. He was a +45 with 17 power-play goals, ten shorthanded goals, and 25 game-winning goals. He then spent three seasons with the Los Angeles Kings. In 161 games, he had 123 points on 52 goals and 71 assists. He was a plus-one with 15 power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and six game-winning goals. He then went to Edmonton, where he spent the 2024-25 season. In 67 games, he had 27 points on 15 goals and 12 assists. He was a minus-three with one power-play goal and two game-winning goals. In his 12-year NHL career, he’s appeared in 682 games combined with 443 points on 219 goals and 224 assists. He’s a +63 with 37 power-play goals, 11 shorthanded goals, and 39 game-winning goals. In 91 playoff games, he has 46 points on 17 goals and 29 assists. He’s a minus-eight with a power-play goal and three game-winning goals.
