The New Jersey Devils announced that they’ve signed forwards Xavier Parent, Riley Tufte and Marc McLaughlin to one-year contracts at league-minimum cap hits of $850,000.

Tufte is the only player of the three signed to a one-way contract, while Parent and McLaughlin are two-way deals. Parent’s AHL salary is $175,000, while McLaughlin’s is $350,000.

Parent was a restricted free agent after the conclusion of his one-year, $850,000 contract with the Devils. He played five games with the Devils last season, where he went pointless, and he had 20 goals and 19 assists for 39 points in 63 games with their minor-league affiliate, the Utica Comets.

Tufte was an unrestricted free agent after the conclusion of his one-year contract at a league-minimum salary of $775,000 with the Boston Bruins. He played in four games with the Bruins, scoring one goal in that time, and also had 32 goals and 24 assists for 56 points in 64 games with Boston’s AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins.

McLaughlin was an unrestricted free agent after the conclusion of his one-year contract at a league-minimum salary of $775,000, but the Devils still managed to retain the center after he went to free agency. After missing the first four months of the season due to an undisclosed injury, he played seven games with the Devils last season, going pointless in them, and 23 games with the Comets, where he had six goals and eight assists for 14 points in 23 games.

The Devils have already made a few moves this summer, as they’ve extended Nico Hischier, Arseny Gritsyuk and Nico Daws, dealt Simon Nemec and Jakob Markstrom (with New Jersey getting Evan Rodrigues and Jepser Boqvist in the latter deal), and signed Barrett Hayton to an offer sheet. The Devils now have $7,777,500 in cap space according to PuckPedia with four RFAs left to re-sign.
