Ducks' rookie No. 2 pick Leo Carlsson out 4-6 weeks
Jamie Sabau-USA TODAY Sports

Anaheim Ducks rookie forward Leo Carlsson is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks with a sprained MCL in his right knee.

Carlsson, the No. 2 pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, sustained the injury after Calgary defenseman MacKenzie Weegar fell on his right side, cause his leg to buckle in a 3-0 loss to the Flames on Thursday.

"I'm glad nothing was really severely damaged, but I kind of wish we had him," Ducks coach Greg Cronin said following his team's 3-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Saturday.

Carlsson, who turns 19 on Tuesday, has recorded 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 23 games this season.
