The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they’ve signed forward Dovar Tinling to an Amateur Tryout Agreement. Tinling, 23, joins the Adirondack after spending the last three seasons at RPI. During his time with the Pioneers, he had 22 goals and 31 assists for 53 points. This comes after Tag Bertuzzi and Dylan Wendt were both recalled to the Utica Comets earlier this week. I expect Tinling to play in at least one of the three games this weekend vs Kalamazoo Wings. This is the second college signing and the first ATO for the Thunder this season, following Jacob Slipec’s signing with the team last week.

Tinling also played in 39 games with the Des Moines Buccaneers during the 2021-22 season, where he had 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points. The following season, he played in the BCHL with the Penticton Vees, putting up 17 goals and 30 assists for 47 points in 43 games. He would add eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points in 17 playoff games as the Vees captured the BCHL Championship in 2023.
