Allen Americans Captain Colton Hargrove has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in Saturday’s game vs Idaho Steelheads. Hargrove would deliver a high hit on Nick Portz at the 17:17 mark of the third period. He would assessed a major along with a game misconduct for boarding on the play. Hargrove is eligible to return on November 28th when the Americans visit the Utah Grizzlies. In 12 games this season, he has a goal and two assists for three points.

The Dallas, Texas, native is in his fourth seasons in the ECHL and third with the Americans. During his time with Allen, Hargrove has put up 46 goals and 56 assists for 102 points in 88 games. Hargove would add six goals and three assists for nine points in 11 games during the 2023 Kelly Cup Playoffs. He spent last seasons with the Florida Everblades where he had 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points in 56 games. In 15 games during the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs, he had six goals and six assists for 12 points.

Hargrove spent the first four seasons of his career in the AHL, including his first three seasons with the Providence Bruins after being drafted by the Boston Bruins in the seventh round of the 2012 NHL Draft. During his time with Providence, he had 38 goals and 49 assists for 87 points in 185 games. He would add two goals and an assist for three points in 20 Calder Cup Playoff games. In his only season with the Texas Stars, he had 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points in 74 games.
