The ECHL Department of Player Safety announced Thursday that two Savannah Ghost Pirates players have been suspended following incidents during the game against the Atlanta Gladiators on February 24 at Gas South Arena.

The ECHL Department of Player Safety suspended forward Bryce Brodzinski for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline for his actions at 2:15 of the second period. Officials assessed Brodzinski a double minor for high-sticking at that time, and he later received a fighting major at 14:27 of the second period, totaling nine penalty minutes in the contest.

The league also suspended forward Connor Gregga for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount under the same rule for his actions at 6:50 of the third period.

Both players will miss Savannah’s Feb. 27 game against the South Carolina Stingrays.

Savannah fell to Atlanta 7–4 in Game #406 after building multiple leads. The Ghost Pirates took five penalties totaling 13 minutes, with Brodzinski accounting for nine of those minutes. Gregga’s third-period infraction occurred during a pivotal stretch as momentum in the game shifted. Savannah ultimately allowed four goals in the final frame.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA), the league directs collected fines to the PHPA’s ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
