Forward Bobo Carpenter has announced his retirement after eight seasons of professional hockey. Carpenter, 29, had 25 goals and 18 assists for 43 points in 42 games last season with the Kansas City Mavericks. He would add 10 goals and six assists for 16 points in 20 Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Career Stats

The North Reading, Massachusetts, native spent parts of his first seasons in the AHL with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Milwaukee Admirals. In 66 games at the AHL level, he put up nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points. During the 2021-22 season, Carpenter would make his ECHL debut with the Florida Everblades, a team he would spend parts of the next three seasons with.

Over the course of his time in Florida, he had 41 goals and 29 assists for 70 points in 84 games. He made a name for himself during the 2023-24 season, when he had 28 goals and 18 assists for 50 points in 60 games during the regular season. During the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs, Carpenter put up 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points in 23 games and led all players in goals during the Kelly Cup Playoffs as the Everblades captured their third straight Kelly Cup.

Carpenter would head overseas after the 2023-24 season, as he had 18 goals and 17 assists for 35 points in 47 games in the EIHL with the Belfast Giants. He would add three goals and two assists for five points in four playoff games. During the EIHL Cup, he had four goals and two assists for six points in 10 games.
