Norfolk Admirals forward Brandon McNally is heading overseas to Italy to join Aosta in Italy2 after playing in seven games this season with the Norfolk Admirals. He has played 33 international games representing Italy. McNally, 33, was acquired from the Fort Wayne Komets back in November. He becomes the fourth member of the Admirals to take the overseas route this season, joining Quinn Ryan, Logan Stein, and Alex Tonge.
The Saugus, Massachusetts, native spent the last seven seasons overseas before coming back to North America for the 2025-26 season. McNally began his career in North America, where he spent his first four pro seasons. In 63 AHL games with the Hamilton Bulldogs, St. John’s Ice Caps, San Diego Gulls, and Chicago Wolves, he put up nine goals and seven assists for 16 points in 63 games. During his time in the ECHL with the Brampton Beast, Utah Grizzlies, Cincinnati Cyclones, and Norfolk Admirals, he had 32 goals and 48 assists for 80 points in 151 games. He had one assist in five games during the 2018 Kellt Cup Playoffs with the Cyclones. In 2017, he won the ECHL Built Tough Award for the Eastern Conference.
During his seven seasons overseas, he spent time in Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Japan, Australia, Romania, and the United Kingdom. In 2012, he won an EIHL Championship with the Sheffield Steelers. Last season, he led the Asia League with 97 PIMs in just 27 games. McNally also had six goals and 14 assists for 20 points in seven games while playing in Australia with Canberra.
