The Allen Americans have traded goaltender David Tendeck to the Tulsa Oilers in exchange for forward Mitchell Russell.

David Tendeck Heads To Tulsa

Tendeck, 24, will join his sixth ECHL team in the last six seasons. The North Vancouver, BC, native began the season with the Florida Everblades, where he went 1-1 along with a shutout before being traded to the Americans. During his time in Allen, he posted a 7-6 record with a 3.40 GAA, .912SV%, and two shutouts. His last appearances with the Americans came on February 1st, giving up six goals in a loss to Rapid City.

Over the course of his ECHL career, he’s posted a 43-51-6 record with a 3.27 GAA, .901SV%, and seven shutouts in 109 games while playing for the Rapid City Rush, Atlanta Gladiators, Wheeling Nailers, Idaho Steelheads, and Florida Everblades. He also played 20 games in the EIHL with the Manchester Storm. During his time with the Storm, he went 10-10 with a 2.90 GAA and .919SV%.

Mitchell Russell Heads To Allen

Russell, 24, had one goal in eight games with the Savannah Ghost Pirates before being traded to Tulsa last week. Over the course of his four-year career in the ECHL, Russell has put up 20 goals and 25 assists for 45 points in 89 games while playing for the Wichita Thunder and Savannah Ghost Pirates. He had one assist in four games during the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs with the Thunder. The Peterborough, Ontario, native has also put up two assists in 12 games at the AHL level with the San Jose Barracuda.
