The Greenville Swamp Rabbits added Trevor Janicke to their roster for the 2026-27 season.

Janicke, 25, arrives in Greenville after two productive seasons in the ECHL. He has appeared in 94 regular-season games between the Rapid City Rush and Fort Wayne Komets, totaling 53 points (22G, 31A). He also skated in 17 Kelly Cup Playoff games with Fort Wayne last spring.

Professional Career

Janicke made his professional debut during the 2024-25 season, splitting time between the Calgary Wranglers and the Rapid City Rush. While he appeared in 15 AHL games with Calgary, he found success in the ECHL, recording 25 points (11G, 14A) in 30 games with Rapid City. During that season, he also played under current Greenville Head Coach and General Manager Chad Costello, who served as Rapid City’s interim head coach.

He spent all of last season with the Fort Wayne Komets, setting career highs with 64 games, 17 assists, and 28 points while matching the 11 goals he scored during his rookie campaign. By the end of the season, Janicke had established himself as a reliable contributor with back-to-back double-digit goal seasons.

College Career

Before turning professional, Janicke spent five seasons at the University of Notre Dame. He finished his collegiate career with 85 points (44G, 41A) in 175 games and wore an alternate captain’s letter during his final two seasons with the Fighting Irish.

The Anaheim Ducks selected Janicke in the fifth round (132nd overall) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He also represented the United States internationally, winning a gold medal at the 2019 World Junior A Challenge and a silver medal at the 2018 IIHF Under-18 World Championship.
