Carson spent five seasons with the Sudbury Wolves in the Ontario Hockey League, where he wore the “A” as alternate captain for three years and became one of the team’s most consistent producers. His breakout came in 2016–17, when he exploded for 30 goals and 50 points in 68 games, showcasing both finishing ability and a knack for stepping up in big moments. Over the course of his OHL career, Carson played 304 regular-season games, collecting 105 goals, 77 assists, and 182 points. He added another 14 points in 20 playoff games, proving himself as a reliable contributor under pressure.
After his junior career, Carson joined the University of New Brunswick Reds, one of the most decorated programs in Canadian university hockey. He immediately became part of a winning culture, helping UNB capture four University Cup championships and an AUS title during his five seasons.
His role grew steadily across his time in Fredericton. In 2021–22, he posted six points in 24 games as he adjusted to the pace of USports. The following season, he elevated his game with 16 points in 30 regular season contests, then added five points in seven playoff games, contributing to another championship run. Carson continued to produce in 2023–24, notching 14 points in 28 games and chipping in offensively during the postseason.
His final year at UNB proved to be his most impactful. Though limited to 18 regular season appearances, he tallied eight points, then delivered one of the best playoff performances of his career. In just five postseason games, Carson scored five goals, including several timely markers, and added another championship medal to his collection.
Across four competitive USports seasons, Carson compiled 44 points in 100 regular-season games and another 16 points in 21 playoff contests, cementing his reputation as a player who rises to the occasion when the stakes are highest.
Carson’s game combines grit, leadership, and offensive upside. He isn’t afraid to play a heavy style, using his frame to battle along the boards and establish position in front of the net. At the same time, his scoring record shows he can finish plays, whether as a shooter on the wing or as a reliable option down the middle. That versatility makes him a valuable asset for the Icemen as they prepare for another season in the South Division.
At 26, Carson arrives in Jacksonville with both a championship pedigree and the hunger to prove himself at the professional level. His blend of major junior experience, university titles, and consistent production offers the Icemen a forward who knows how to win and how to perform when the games matter most. For Jacksonville fans, Carson’s signing represents not just another addition, but a player capable of making an immediate impact in the lineup.
