ECHL: Jacob Frasca Heads To The NCAA

Reading Royals forward Jacob Frasca is heading to the NCAA after spending the last two seasons in the ECHL. Frasca, 23, had 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points, along with 113 PIMs in 63 games last season. He would add one assist over the course of five games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. During his rookie season in the ECHL, he had five goals and 10 assists for 15 points in 53 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones. After playing alongside his brother, Jordan Frasca, this season in Reading, Jacob might get the chance to go up against his younger brother Gabriel next season, who plays for Quinnipiac University.

Prior to going pro, the Brampton, Ontario native spent four years in the OHL. The majority of his time in the OHL came as a member of the Barrie Colts, where he had 44 goals and 62 assists for 106 points in 16 games. Frasca would wear an “A” for two of the four years that he was in Barrie. He would have seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 19 playoff games with the Colts. During his final season in the OHL, he would be traded to the Soo Greyhounds. Over the course of 28 games with the Greyhounds, Frasca had seven goals and five assists for 12 points.
