The Wheeling Nailers have announced that they’ve signed goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo for the 2026-27 season. Kaskisuo, 32, pitched a 20-save shutout against the Atlanta Gladiators on December 13th as a member of the Utah Grizzlies before heading overseas. In 15 games in Finland with JoKP (Metis), he went 2-9-4 with a 2.85 GAA and .884SV%. For the Nailers, they had a goaltender with plenty of experience as they head into a new era as an affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Wheeling now has four defensemen, four forwards, and a goaltender on their 2026-27 roster.
