The Savannah Ghost Pirates have re-signed forward and team captain Logan Drevitch to an ECHL contract for the 2025–26 season, the team announced Friday.

Franchise Original Returns for Year Four

Drevitch, 27, has spent his entire professional career with Savannah since the team’s 2022 debut. He becomes the only player in franchise history to sign a contract in all four seasons. Last year, he notched 12 goals and 40 assists over 72 games, tying the team’s single-season record for assists.

Over 210 career games with the Ghost Pirates, Drevitch has tallied 44 goals and 97 assists for 141 points and 119 penalty minutes. He currently leads the franchise in games played, assists, and total points.

Leading Both On and Off the Ice

Drevitch became Savannah’s second captain in team history in 2024 and embraced the responsibility. Head coach Jared Staal praised his leadership, noting Drevitch’s strong communication and trust within the locker room.

“He has a great pulse on the room, so I lean on him a lot,” Staal said. “He had a great first year as captain; he earned it throughout training camp, and he was the right man for the job” (Savannah Ghost Pirates, 2025).

Drevitch spoke with pride about the culture his team is building, crediting both the fans and his teammates for driving their shared success.

“The fans and community have made my family and I feel right at home,” he said. “We created a culture and a standard of how we do things, which is huge.”

Setting the Standard

Drevitch is the only Ghost Pirates player to record multiple 50-point seasons, hitting 52 points in each of the last two years. He now shares the team record for most assists in a season with Reece Vitelli.

Reflecting on 2024–25, Drevitch called it a stepping stone for both personal growth and team identity. He believes the team is positioned to take the next step heading into the new season.

“It wasn’t the result we wanted, but I think we created a culture,” Drevitch said. “We need to take that commitment and grow it into a playoff run.”

Before the Pros

Before joining the Ghost Pirates, Drevitch played four seasons of NCAA Division I hockey at Merrimack College from 2018 to 2022. In 114 collegiate games, he registered 49 points (19G, 30A) and served as alternate captain during his senior season.
