Allen Americans goaltender Marco Costantini is heading back overseas to Italy to join HC Bolzano (ICEHL) after spending last season in the ECHL. He played in five games with Asiago (ICEHL) at the end of the 2024-25 season. Costantini, 23, had a solid year with Allen, going 20 -8-4 with a 2.83 GAA, .917SV%, and two shutouts in 33 games. He won the only game he started in the Kelly Cup Playoffs, stopping 27 of the 30 shots he faced in Game 5 of the opening round. In Game 4, he stopped 15 of 16 shots in a relief appearance. Marco is the fourth member of the Americans to take the overseas route since the season ended and will be playing in the same league as his brother Anthony, who joined Pioneers Voralberg last month.
The Hamilton, Ontario native has spent the majority of his career with the Americans, posting a 34-14-5 record with a 2.94 GAA, .917SV%, and three shutouts in 58 games. In five career Kelly Cup Playoff games with Allen, he’s 2-1-1 with a 3.34 GAA and .901SV%. He’s also made an appearance as a member of the Idaho Steelheads and Indy Fuel. Marco began his career in the SPHL, where he went 2-2 with a 1.48 GAA, .952SV%, and one shutout in five games with the Knoxville Ice Bears.
