Wheeling Nailers forwards Mike Posma and Max Graham have each been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount for their actions in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. They will both miss the next two games that they are on an ECHL Roster.
At the 9:59 mark of the third period, Posma would be given a game misconduct as he apparently spat on one of the Florida Everblades. In 15 Kelly Cup Playoff games, he had two goals and two assists for four points along with 32 PIMs. During the regular season, he had 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points in 46 games.
At the 13:13 mark of the third period, chaos broke out as a giant scrum broke out, and one of the many scrums involved Wheeling’s Max Graham, who threw some haymakers on Florida’s Craig Needham. Graham would be assessed a double minor for roughing, along with a game misconduct for fighting (continuing altercation). In 17 games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs, he had two goals and two assists for four points along with 42 PIMs. His 42 PIMs led the Nailers during the Kelly Cup Playoffs. During the regular season, the 22-year-old forward had 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points along with 101 PIMs in 66 games. Graham also saw one game of AHL action with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
