The Norfolk Admirals have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Nathan Noel for the 2026-27 season. Noel, 29, had one assist in 17 games last season with the Iowa Heartlanders before being dealt to Norfolk. In 46 games with Norfolk, he had two goals and seven assists for nine points. For Norfolk, they re-sign a bottom-six winger who will bring grit and physicality to their lineup. The Admirals now have eight forwards, three defensemen, and a goaltender signed for the 2026-27 season.

The St. John’s, Newfoundland, native is entering his eighth season in the ECHL, having spent time with eight different teams. Over the course of his ECHL career, Noel has put up 20 goals and 47 assists for 67 points, along with 504 PIMs in 236 games. In 11 games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs, he has four goals and an assist for five points. Noel has also spent parts of three seasons in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs, where he’s put up three goals and four assists for seven points in 71 games.
Prior to going pro, he spent four seasons in the QMJHL with the Saint John Sea Dogs where he put up 85 goals and 123 assists for 208 points. In 39 playoffs games, he had 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points. In 2017, the Sea Dog won the QMJHL Championship and in four games during the Memorial Cup, Noel had a goal and an assist.
