The Reading Royals have announced their 2025 training camp roster, consisting of 23 players, two of whom will be joining the team on a try-out basis.

Kurapov, 26, joins the Royals on a tryout after making his pro debut with the team last season. Prior to joining the Royals, he spent five seasons at Endicott College. In his rookie season with the Gulls, he had 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points in 25 games. He was named the CCC Rookie of the Year as well as to the Second Team All-Conference. The following season, he was named the CCC Player of the Year, as well as leading the Gulls to a CCC Championship in 2024. In four years with the Gulls, he put up 51 goals and 67 assists for 118 points in 113 games.
Prior to playing at Endicott, the Corvallis, Ontario, native spent two seasons in the NCDC playing with the Islanders Hockey Club and the Twin City Thunder. He would be named to the 2020 NCDC All-Star Game. In 85 games in the NCDC, he put up 23 goals and 41 assists for 64 points. Kurapov also served as the Captain for the Thunder during the 2019-20 season.
Wieber, 27, has spent parts of the last three seasons in the FPHL with the Binghampton Black Bears. In 100 games with the Black Bears, he’s put up seven goals and 24 assists for 31 points. He had one a goal and two assists in 15 playoff games as the Black Bears won back-to-back Commissioner’s Cups. Prior to joining the Black Bears, the St.Joseph, Minnesota native spent four seasons playing at the NCAA level. Over the course of his four years at St. John’s University, Weiber put up 12 goals and 24 assists for 36 points in 75 games.
Prior to playing in the NCAA, Wieber spent three seasons in the NAHL with the Breezy Point North Stars. In 109 games with the North Stars, he put up 12 goals and 36 assists for 48 points. He also saw action in two NAHL playoff games.
