ECHL Roster Transactions: Wheeling Nailers | 01/07/2025

Wheeling picked up forward Mitch Walinski off waivers from the Bloomington Bison. Walinski previously played for the Atlanta Gladiators in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons. He notched 10 goals and five assists in 59 games played with the Gladiators. This season, he started with the Adirondack Thunder, playing in four games with no points, and he played in five games with the Bloomington Bison with no points.

The Allen Americans traded defenseman Dakota Seaman to Wheeling. Seaman played in six games for the Americans with no points secured. Previously, Seaman played in the FPHL for the Watertown Wolves over the span of 56 games. He notched four goals and eight assists with the Wolves. He also played 29 games for the Elmira Mammoth and tallied one assist.

Tahoe Knight Monsters traded defenseman Brandon Tabakin to Wheeling. Tabakin played in six games for the former Newfoundland Growlers and secured one assist in his time there. He played in 30 games for Tahoe and tallied two goals and four assists. In college, Tabakin played for Yale University and Arizona State University. He also played in the USHL with the Sioux Falls Stampede.

Chris Ortiz and Mats Lindgren were returned to Wheeling after spending time in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Sam Houde was returned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and released from his standard player contract.
