The Trois-Rivières Lions have announced that they’ve signed forward Joël Teasdale for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. Teasdale, 26, had a goal and two assists for three points in eight games with HK Spisska Nova Ves (Slovakia). This a big signing for the Lions as they add a power-forward with AHL experience to their roster.

The Repentingny, Quebec, native has spent the last five seasons in the AHL as he’s spent time with the Laval Rocket, Iowa Wild, and Syracuse Crunch. In 255 career AHL games, he’s put up 61 goals and 55 assists for 116 points. He would add a goal and an assists in 20 career Calder Cup Playoff games. Teasedale also saw two games at the NHL level with the Montreal Canadiens during the 2022-23 season.
Prior to going pro, Teasdale spent five seasons in the QMJHL with most of his career coming as a member of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. In 215 games with the Armada, he put up 80 goals and 97 assists for 177 points. Teasedale had 16 goals and 23 assists for 39 points in 51 playoff games with the Huskies. He won back to back Frank J. Selke Trophies in 2018 and 2019. In 2019, he would finished the season with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies putting up 24 goals and 18 assists for 42 points in 29 games. Teasdale had 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points during the QMJHL Playoffs as the Huskies went on to win the Memorial Cup.
