This morning, the Maine Mariners saw Brooklyn Kalmikov sign overseas. They then released their season-ending roster. One of the players on their team, forward Xander Lamppa, is heading overseas. He’s signing with the Fife Flyers in the EIHL. Lamppa this season in 68 games had 29 points on 16 goals and 13 assists. He was a plus-six with a power-play goal. In 14 playoff games, he had three assists and was a minus-four. He was tied for sixth on the team in the regular season in goals.

In three seasons with the Mariners, he played in 149 games, recording 68 points on 30 goals and 38 assists. He was a minus-nine with two power-play goals. In 21 playoff games, he had five assists and was a minus-five. Before joining the Mariners, he spent four seasons in the NCAA with the Penn State Nittany Lions and two seasons prior to that in the USHL with the Waterloo Black Hawks. In 114 games at Penn State, he had 45 points on 12 goals and 33 assists; he was a -11. Lamppa, in 107 games with the Black Hawks, he had 71 points on 22 goals and 49 assists; he was a +22. In four playoff games in the USHL, he had a goal and was a minus-one.
