Saturday night, on Hockey Night In Canada, the Edmonton Oilers capped off a three game homestand against the Chicago Blackhawks. They were looking for a bounce-back game after letting Thursday night’s game against the New York Rangers slip away from them in the third period.

The Oilers and Blackhawks headed to Overtime tied 2-2: Andre Burakovsky’s tying goal was similar to the second and third goals of the game, but following up a rebound shot was the difference. Chicago heavily outshot Edmonton in the third period after being heavily outshot in the first period and being even in the second period.

The Oilers beat the Blackhawks in Overtime: After heavy criticism following Thursday night’s game, Evan Bouchard scored the game-winning goal in the extra 5 minutes. His team finished the three game homestand with a 2-0-1 record.
