The Penguins' front office has wanted to get younger this summer, and they have discussed different trade deals for players. With the desire of the Pittsburgh front office to somewhat rebuild, it has seen multiple players' names be thrown into trade rumors all summer.
This could have an impact on the team going forward, and to this point, Pittsburgh hasn't moved any of the veterans. But a trade could be coming down the line soon since the new season starts up soon.
As the Penguins continue to look around the league for different deals of veterans, it seems that the team is still listening to multiple players. According to NHL insider David Pagnotta, the Penguins are still open to offers for players, including star defenseman Erik Karlsson.
Pagnotta appeared on the Leafs Morning Take show to discuss the latest around Pittsburgh.

Karlsson has been one of the most talked-about players on the trade front, and he has drawn interest from multiple teams. The veteran can still play at a high level, and he could make a big difference to any team that would land him.
Last season with the Penguins, Karlsson scored 11 goals and 42 assists. Even at his age, Karlsson showed that he can still impact games.
Pittsburgh has set a high asking price for Karlsson, and this could complicate matters as well. But it does feel like a trade of Karlsson and others will happen at some point.
