The Gaudreau family have been doing plenty of good in the honour of the fallen Johnny and Matthew, and now, they've raised $500,000 in their honour.

In August of 2024, tragedy struck the NHL and the Gaudreau Family as Johnny and Matthew were tragically struck by a vehicle and passed away, and ever since that, there has been a major hole in the hearts of many around the league, with many touching tributes given to the beloved brothers.

Now, the family are trying to do some good out of unimaginable pain, including their setting up the first annual Gaudreau Family 5K this season, an event that was participated in by many involved in the NHL including fans and players.

This was an incredible event put on by the Gaudreau Family, and instead of wanting to benefit themselves in the honour of Johnny and Matthew, they raised $500,000 to install an adaptive playground at Archbishop Damiano School, the place where both Jane and Kristen Gaudreau work.

Moreover than that, it has a special place in the heart of both Johnny and Matthew, who would often volunteer at the special needs school, showing just how selfless the entire Gaudreau family are as they look to turn an unbelievable tragedy into helping the community for a great cause.

It's unclear if this will become an annual event to raise money for the school or if the Gaudreau's will continue raising money for many different causes in the honour of the late Johnny and Matthew, but given all the time and effort that went into putting this event together, there should be nothing and love and support for the family.
