The NHL regular season may be on pause as stars from across the league compete in the first-ever 4 Nations Face-Off tournament in Montreal and Boston, but that hasn’t stopped front offices from staying busy.

On Tuesday, the Vegas Golden Knights announced a trade agreement with the Nashville Predators.

"Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, February 18, that the team has traded forward Grigori Denisenko to the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations," Gordon Weigers of VegasGoldenKnights.com wrote.

Denisenko, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2018 draft, has seen limited NHL action this season, appearing in just one game for Vegas after being claimed off waivers from the Florida Panthers last year.

The Russian forward has spent most of his time in the AHL with the Henderson Silver Knights, where he has tallied 10 goals and 13 assists in 42 games this year.

Denisenko is expected to join Nashville’s AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, where he’ll likely serve as a depth piece for the organization. The 24-year-old winger has yet to find the back of the net in his NHL career, recording seven assists in 33 games.

Vegas currently sits atop the Pacific Division, tied with the Edmonton Oilers at 72 points. The Golden Knights will be back in action on Saturday, facing the Vancouver Canucks, with puck drop set for 10 p.m. ET.
