The Vegas Golden Knights were able to move on to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after taking out the Minnesota Wild. They will now face off against the Edmonton Oilers, putting another big test in the way.

Edmonton is one of the better offensive teams around the entire league, so the Vegas defense will be tested. But the Golden Knights aren't backing down from the challenge ahead.

Vegas defender Brayden McNabb spoke about the Oilers' depth and how they used it to take down the Los Angeles Kings in the first round.  But McNabb also seemingly took a small shot at Edmonton in the process.

“There’s different players. I think their depth is better, especially against L.A., they contributed, their bottom-six [forwards]. But we like our depth. It should be a great series with lots of high-end talent on both teams. It should be a lot of fun.”

This series offers both sides a chance to make a statement, and these teams know each other well. This is also a rematch from a playoff series two years ago that saw the Golden Knights win in six games.

The Oilers have much more experience and will be banking on that to help get them through this series. Edmonton is looking to get back to the Stanley Cup Final after falling in Game 7 last season.

Game 1 is going to be crucial for both sides, but the edge goes to Vegas since they have home-ice advantage. The Golden Knights have been one of the better teams on home ice this season, and they will look to defend the fort once again.
