Golden Knights Given Ambitious Stanley Cup Prediction

The Vegas Golden Knights have been the talk of the NHL offseason following their acquisition of star Mitch Marner. Marner brings real star power to this already strong roster, giving the Golden Knights a good chance to contend next season.

Vegas fell in the second round of the postseason this past year, and the front office wants to make sure that doesn't happen again. This team is one of the favorites to win the Stanley Cup next season, and some believe they could even be the favorite.

NHL writer Adam Gretz of Bleacher Report put together a list of predictions for every team heading into next season. Gretz has the Golden Knights climbing the mountain top once again, claiming the 2025-26 Stanley Cup.

"Marner needed to go to a place where he wasn't always under the microscope and the person taking all of the blame every time something went wrong. He won't have to deal with that in Vegas. Not because there isn't pressure here, or because a big contract doesn't carry expectations, but because this isn't his team. This is Jack Eichel's team," Gretz wrote.

Pairing Eichel and Marner together gives this team a dynamic dyo for opponents to deal with. The Golden Knights should have a strong offense, but the x-factor will be the rest of the squad carrying their part throughout the season.

The play of Marner will heavily dictate how far this Vegas team goes, but if he can live up to the expectations from the contract, the Golden Knights will be in a good spot. Vegas has a stacked team from top to bottom, and all eyes are set on winning another title.
