The Vegas Golden Knights entered Thursday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets with Carter Hart in goal, but the starting netminder couldn't finish the game, exiting early with a lower-body injury.
Hart was helped off the ice in the first period after a scramble near the crease resulted in Boone Jenner scoring for Columbus and Hart's injury.
On Friday, less than 24 hours after Hart's injury, the Golden Knights made a roster move related to the injured netminder, recalling goaltender Carl Lindbom from the AHL's Henderson Silver Knights.
Vegas has not placed Hart on injured reserve as of Saturday morning. The Golden Knights, however, didn't need to as they had an open roster spot to accommodate Lindbom’s recall without making any further moves.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy said after the game that Hart’s injury “didn’t look good,” adding that he expects to have further updates after Saturday’s practice.
“We’ll find out probably more [on Saturday],” Cassidy said. “But it didn’t look good the way he went off.”
Hart has struggled in recent outings, posting an .802 save percentage and 3.26 goals-against average over his last five starts, all of them after the holiday break.
The Golden Knights signed the former Philadelphia Flyers goalie in October, and he made his Vegas debut in December.
Akira Schmid took over in net Thursday after Hart exited, helping the team hold on for a 5–3 victory over Columbus.
Lindbom, meanwhile, returns for his second stint with the NHL club this season after appearing in seven games earlier this campaign. The 22-year-old posted a 1-4-2 record with the Golden Knights and has earned a 6-3-4 record for AHL Henderson.
During his earlier stint with Vegas, Lindbom appeared in seven games, recording a .870 save percentage and a 3.14 goals-against average. With fellow goalie Adin Hill still sidelined, Lindbom could back up or even start on Saturday, depending on Hart’s status.
Vegas remains tied for first place in the Pacific Division and will host the St. Louis Blues on Saturday at 10:00 p.m. ET.
