Connor McDavid isn't known for having much of a personality, but during the playoffs, it appears he's got plenty of banter with an Oilers equipment manager.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are a time of great intensity in the NHL, and while most of that involves the players on the ice, all of the staff for a team have to be involved and on their game as well.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for the Oilers equipment manager in their latest game, as a clip has now gone viral of the interaction between he and captain Connor McDavid during the intermission.
As the team were headed back out to the ice, McDavid expected his gloves to be dry, but there was only one problem... he had never asked the equipment manager to do so, and it resulted in a hilarious clip of the two (and Corey Perry) bantering back and forth about the situation.
While this was certainly all in good fun, it goes to show just how superstitious players in hockey can be, and with the way McDavid has been playing, tallying 3 goals and 17 points through 10 games, it's safe to say that whatever he wants, the staff will be doing their best to give it too him.
One other thing this video shows us is just how loose the Oilers have been despite the immense pressure that's on their shoulders, and with the team joking around like this as they take a 3-1 lead in the series against the Vegas Golden Knights, it will put them in good stead to take a step forward from last year where they came up just short of a Stanley Cup.
