The Carolina Hurricanes' 5-2 Game 4 win over the New Jersey Devils brought them within one victory of advancing, but the focus after the game was on starting goaltender Frederik Andersen.
Andersen suffered an injury as Devils forward Timo Meier crashed into the netminder midway through the game, frustrating Canes head coach Rod Brind'Amour.
Andersen exited the game after colliding with Meier following an upper-body hit by the forward, which sent him sprawling backward into the net.
No penalty was called after review, even though an initial major was assessed on the ice.

Brind'Amour, visibly frustrated postgame, criticized the non-call.
"I guess the best way I would think it is that if [the puck] goes in, it's 100 percent goalie interference," Brind'Amour said. "There was clearly contact. You're not really supposed to go in there. It may be a little bump, but he's a big guy, he could stop.
"We do feel like we try to protect the goalie quite a bit in this league, for the goalie interference stuff [where] nobody knows what's going on.
"That was the frustrating part."
After the hit, backup goalie Pyotr Kochetkov replaced Andersen, conceding one goal—to Meier—on 15 shots.
Brind'Amour confirmed after the game that Andersen would be evaluated in Raleigh on Monday and provided no additional details on the nature or severity of the injury.
"I can't give you an update," Brind'Amour said. "He left the game. He was in good shape. And then he's going to get checked out.
"So that's all I can tell you."
Andersen had been a key to Carolina’s strong playoff start, posting a league-leading .936 save percentage and a 1.59 goals-against average through the first four games.
Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday night in Raleigh, with Carolina looking to close out the series but facing uncertainty in goal if Andersen remains unavailable.
