The Carolina Hurricanes are one of the top teams in the NHL once again. At 9-2-2, they lead the Metropolitan Division early in the season. Still, the team has been dealing with plenty of injuries. Jordan Staal is on IR, while Taylor Hall and Seth Jarvis have both dealt with injuries for the Hurricanes.
Now, the Canes are getting an update on the status of one of those injured players, per a release from NHL.com.
“[Taylor Hall] was activated from injured reserve by the Hurricanes on Monday and practiced for the first time since being injured in the second period of a 4-2 win against the Washington Capitals on Oct. 13 and was considered week to week. Hall, who skated on a line with forwards Jordan Martinook and Seth Jarvis on Monday, left the morning skate early Tuesday, but coach Rod Brind’Amour said he believes Hall will play,” the report said.
Hall was injured on October 13 against the Washington Capitals after playing just 4:17 in the contest. In his eight games so far this year, he had three goals and two assists. He also scored the game-winning goal against the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 6.
Hall was a major contributor in the playoffs last year for the Hurricanes. He scored seven goals in the playoffs while adding 12 helpers. His biggest goal of the playoffs was in Game 6 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
He scored 3:47 into the game on an assist from Jaccob Slavin and Jackson Blake. The goal gave the Hurricanes the 1-0 lead and ended up being the Stanley Cup-winning goal, as the Canes won the game 3-0.
The Hurricanes host the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night, with puck drop set for 8 pm ET.
