The Dallas Stars may have found their next franchise goalie in Arno Tiefensee, and NHL scouts are already taking notice of the rising Finnish prospect.

Finnish goalie Arno Tiefensee, a 2024 draft pick, has been standing out in development camp and international tournaments.

I think his size, calm play, and steady technique make him one of the most exciting goalie prospects Dallas has seen in a while, certainly since Jake Oettinger arrived.

At 6-foot-4, Tiefensee is using his frame well in Finland's Liiga, where he has built a reputation as a composed, positionally sound netminder. He is also known for his amazing work ethic.

Scouts from Europe and North America have praised his patience and balance, saying he "lets the game come to him" instead of overplaying situations.

According to Dobber Prospects, Tiefensee has already cracked Dallas's top prospect rankings, with experts noting his NHL upside if his development continues.

Even Daily Faceoff reported that his performance in the U20 Four Nations Tournament this summer caught the attention of multiple NHL scouts, who pointed to his rebound control and mental poise.

Arno Tiefensee could give Dallas another franchise goalie alongside Jake Oettinger

While Jake Oettinger remains Dallas's backbone in goal, Tiefensee's progress is giving the organization options for the future.

A Western Conference scout told Daily Faceoff:

"If he keeps this pace, he could challenge for an NHL spot sooner than anyone thought."

For now, Tiefensee is expected to split his season between the AHL and Finland, but his rise suggests he may not be waiting long for a chance in Dallas.
